Ballistic Calculator

  • What is the “Ballistic Calculator”?

Ballistic calculation is a function that helps users improve shooting accuracy. The user inputs bullet-related parameters, altitude, temperature and so on. Through the algorithm, the device will display a recommended shooting aiming point on the screen. That is the ballistic calculation.

  • Does the Ballistic Calculator take the Yaw and Pitch of the scope into account?

Yes, they has been considered in the ballistic calculator mode, so there is no need to be put into the parameter.

  • What is the meaning of these parameters in “Ballistic Calculator”?

    1. Velocity (f/s): The velocity of a bullet travels after being discharged from a rifle.
    2. Bullet Wt(gr): the weight of the bullet.
    3. Bullet BC: the bullet ballistic coefficient, stands for the bullet’s ability to overcome air resistance in flight. This data can be obtained from the manufacturer’s specifications.
    4. Altitude (ft): the elevation of the location where you are shooting.
    5. Temperature (°F): the temperature of the location where you are shooting.
    6. Scope Ht (inch): The distance between the center of the scope’s objective lens and the center of the gun barrel.
    7. Zero Range (yds): the unit distance where the rifle is zeroed.
    8. Reference Point Shape And Color: the shape and color of the reticle.

  • Why is the zeroing distance in the ballistic calculation parameters adjusted at increments 5?

Because increments 5 is more accurate for ballistic calculator than increment 1.
